My creative journey as an artist began in 2001, and has been based on several lifelong priority interests of mine: curiosity, joy, freedom, and beauty … all guiding priorities for my mind, body, spirit, soul, life, relationships, even, and, of course, art. I create because the act of making art connects me to what is true, constant, and real. I find the process of creating art to be deeply grounding and satisfying.

I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and am of Austrian, English, and Haitian heritage. Since 2007, Portland, Oregon has provided me with the steady, grounding earth I’ve needed to focus on my craft.

My process is a very fluid, open, stream of consciousness—I work with what’s in front of me, trusting the spontaneous choices I feel inspired to make will further my clear, true intentions … which, in the case of my art, is to create beautiful, moving images.

As a self-taught, heart-led artist, I treat everything I do as an anchor of freedom in an overstimulated world. Through my digital paintings and textiles, I offer you what I have finally given myself: truth, space, and a connection to the sacred.
